Bed and Breakfast Het Oelenest is located in a farm from the late 1800s, nestled in the beautiful countryside of Drenthe, in Hooghalen. In 2016, we began converting part of the farm into a comfortable Bed and Breakfast, offering two spacious rooms. Both rooms come with a private bathroom. Guests can also enjoy a cozy communal breakfast room with a sitting area. During the summer months, you can relax on the terrace.

Our Bed & Breakfast is situated along the hiking routes of the Roots Nature Trail, the Drenthe Trail, and the Westerbork Trail, making it an ideal stop for hikers looking to continue their journey.

Het Oelenest is just a short distance from the Westerbork Memorial Center, the Drents Museum, and the TT Circuit Assen. These attractions are easily accessible, whether you are interested in history or motorsports.

 

It also serves as a perfect base for exploring the area, enjoying a holiday, attending an event, or hosting business meetings.

 

There is plenty of parking on-site, and for electric cars, charging points are available within 250 meters. We also provide a motorcycle shed and a bike shed with charging facilities.
