About Het Oelenest
Bed Het Oelenest is located in a farmhouse dating from the late 1800s, in the heart of the beautiful Drenthe region, in Hooghalen. In 2016, we started converting part of the farmhouse into a comfortable Bed & Breakfast, Het Oelenest, with two spacious rooms. We no longer provide breakfast! That’s why it is now called Bed Het Oelenest. Both rooms have a private bathroom. Guests can also make use of a cozy shared lounge area with seating. On the terrace, you can relax and unwind during the summer months.
Bed Het Oelenest is situated along the walking routes of the Roots Nature Trail, Drenthepad, and Westerborkpad, making it an ideal resting point for hikers who wish to continue their journey.
In addition, Het Oelenest is located a short distance from the Memorial Centre Camp Westerbork, the Drents Museum, and the TT Circuit Assen. These locations are easy to reach, whether you are interested in history or motorsports.
It is also a perfect base for exploring the area, enjoying a holiday, attending an event, or for business appointments.
There is plenty of parking available on-site, and charging points for electric cars are available within 250 meters. We also offer motorcycle storage and bicycle storage with charging facilities.
